There is absolutely zero character build up and so you never tend to empathise with any of them. Saurabh Shukla, once again, plays the lovable judge, transferred from Delhi to Lucknow, but is turned into a mumbling idiot who dances with an iPod stuck to his ears and you just cant take him seriously.Īnnu Kapoor tries his best to step into the shoes of Boman Irani as the defence lawyer, but fails miserably, more because of what he was apparently told to do, rather than his capabilities as an actor.Īkshay’s wife played by Huma Qureshi, who is another fine actress, has been reduced to being some who enjoys drinking neat whiskey brought by her husband, as her only significant quality. Not only does he appear in the same mundane manner that he portrays every character in, but he also reaffirms the fact that he has exactly one expression more than your regular doorknob. The movie revolves around Jolly LLB trying to seek justice in what would have been a very interesting case, had the Director Subhash Kapoor actually paid attention to how a court room proceeding actually happens.īut unfortunately, the movie gets turned more into yet another portrayal of the heroics of Akshay Kumar.Īkshay Kumar plays the name sake of the original character Jolly, this time in a courtroom in Lucknow. The wit changes to slapstick comedy and the satire completely disappears. While the first movie was a witty and satirical take on the Courtroom proceedings with an expose on how the “Kanoon Vyavastha” progresses in India, Jolly LLB 2 ends up being a movie about monkey business in court. Then I would recommend that you dont watch Jolly LLB 2. Have you watched Jolly LLB? Did you love that Arshad Warsi movie?
